Short history of the houses
The Rural houses “ La Abuela Celia – The Grandmother Celia “ are the end result of the unifying of two individual houses. The first house (houses 2 & 3) were built by Celia and her husband around 100 years back. At that moment the life on the Canary Islands and in Spain was not easy. The couple practically dedicated all their lives to agriculture and livestock farming. But this lifestyle was insufficient to survive, and the grandfather, like many other Canarians of those times, was forced to emigrate to the Island of Cuba. From there he sent over the necessary money for the construction of the family house. After years passed the second house ( house 1) was bought, which until recently was used as a granary / barn.
